Arrangements for Sacrificial Animals during Eid-ul-Azha at Bahria Town Karachi

Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on 2nd September 2017. In this regard, a central cattle pen and slaughter house have been made in Precinct 1 area to facilitate the Bahria Town Karachi Residents for Eid-ul-Azha Qurbani. Following facilities will be available in the designated area:

  1. Shade
  2. Fodder
  3. Water
  4. Cleaning of Area
  5. Security

Charges:

Charges per day for keeping the animals before Qurbani (including fodder and water) at Bahria Town Karachi provided facility will be as under:

  • Camel: Rs. 1200/-
  • Cow/Ox: Rs. 1200/-
  • Goat/Sheep: Rs. 500/-

Butchers/Slaughtering Charges:

Butchers will be arranged as per following rates. However, residents are allowed to arrange butcher at their own as well:

  • Camel: Rs. 12000/- (Eid Day), Rs. 10000/- (2nd Day), Rs. 8000/- (3rd Day)
  • Cow/Ox: Rs. 7000/-  (Eid Day), Rs. 6000/- (2nd Day), Rs. 5000/- (3rd Day)
  • Goat/Sheep: Rs. 2500/- (Eid Day), Rs. 2000/- (2nd Day), Rs. 1500/- (3rd Day)

Important Instructions:

  • Keeping animal in houses, apartments, shops or offices premises is strictly prohibited. Defaulters will be fined Rs. 25,000 per animal plus cost of cleaning of the area will be charged.
  • BTK Management will not be responsible if an animal dies in BTK Cattle Pen.
  • Charges will be paid in advance.
  • Shifting of animals from carrier/transport to cattle pen site will be the responsibility of the owner.
  • Fodder and water will be provided by the BTK fired staff in the morning and evening.
  • A token will be issued by BTK security against each animal for sale keeping. The animal will be handed over to the owner on production of the token.
  • All residents are requested to use the designated area for keeping and slaughtering the animals.
  • No hide collection team from any organization or group or political party will be allowed inside the BTK premises. Owners will be responsible for the disposal of hides outside BTK premises.
  • Disposal of offal will be arranged by the BTK.
  • Area will be available on 24th August 2017 onwards.
